Haryana, 28th September. At least three people lost their lives, and seven others sustained injuries in a blast at an illegal firecracker factory in Sonipat district, Haryana, on Saturday. The victims’ bodies were severely burnt, and seven workers were reported to be in critical condition.
The factory, operated by a local resident named Ved, was illegally running from his residence. According to a police officer speaking to news agency PTI, the explosion occurred when chemicals used in firecracker production ignited, resulting in a devastating fire.
Emergency responders, including the fire department, senior police officials, and a forensic team, quickly arrived at the scene following reports of the explosion. Teams worked together to recover the bodies from the wreckage of the factory.
As of now, the operator of the illegal factory has fled the scene. The Sonipat police have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances leading to the blast and to locate the suspect.
