Planetary Effects on Human Life

Published:

Human beings are intricately connected to the planets and stars that surround us; indeed, we are a part of them. According to astrology, each planet represents a different facet of our lives, contributing to the rich spectrum of existence that shapes who we are.

Among the four fundamental forces of nature—gravity, electromagnetism, the strong nuclear force, and the weak nuclear force—only gravity and electromagnetism exert influence over distances larger than an atomic nucleus.

The Influence of Celestial Bodies

For instance, Earth experiences significant planetary effects from the Sun and Moon. The gravitational pull of these celestial bodies affects sea levels, particularly noticeably during new moon and full moon phases.

Additionally, space radiation plays a role in this dynamic. According to physics and gravitational laws, planets such as Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and even the pseudoplanets Rahu and Ketu (the Moon’s north and south nodes) also exert a direct influence on us.

This belief is not solely a Hindu perspective but is supported by scientific observations. The Moon primarily affects our atmosphere and hydrosphere.

Scientific studies have confirmed that the hydrosphere experiences significant tidal changes during full moon / new moon phases.

These changes impact the atmosphere, which in turn affects human beings—especially since the human body is composed of approximately 70% water. Consequently, fluctuations in atmospheric moisture can lead to various health issues.

Energy from Planets

The Sun (Surya) symbolizes confidence and vitality, while the Moon (Chandra) influences our emotions and intuition. Mars (Mangal) governs courage and energy, while Mercury (Budh) rules communication and intellect.

Jupiter (Brihaspati) represents wisdom and knowledge, and Venus (Shukra) influences love and relationships. Saturn (Shani) represents discipline and responsibility, and Rahu and Ketu signify karmic influences.

The energy emitted by different planets has distinct effects on humanity as well as on plant and animal life. It has been observed that when a planet transitions through a specific section of the zodiac, it can trigger particular events.

Babies born during these planetary movements often share similar characteristics. Even infants born in different years but under the same planetary influence exhibit comparable traits related to the domain governed by that planet.

This phenomenon underscores the idea that all change is a result of motion. Hindu astrology elucidates this connection clearly: we are continuously influenced (positively / negatively) by the positions and movements of planets and stars.

Planetary positions can significantly influence human behavior, emotions, and decision-making.
