Woman Vandalizes Nameplate Outside Deputy CM Fadnavis’ Office in Mumbai

Mumbai, 27th Sept. A woman vandalized the nameplate of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis outside his office at Mantralaya on Thursday evening, prompting a police investigation.

The incident occurred around 6:30 PM when the woman, who had entered the state secretariat without a valid entry pass, removed the nameplate and smashed it on the ground before leaving.

According to police, she had told security personnel that she forgot her bag inside the complex and sought to retrieve it. Once inside, she approached Fadnavis’ office, where the vandalism took place.

Fadnavis, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has previously served as the state’s Chief Minister from 2014 to 2019. The woman remains unidentified, and a case is being registered at the Marine Drive police station. Authorities have initiated a search operation to locate her.
