251 Girls Reported Missing in Ajmer Over the Past Year, says Rajasthan Assembly Speaker

Published:

Jaipur- Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has expressed concern over the disappearance of more than 250 girls from Ajmer within a year. His statement comes in the wake of a recent case in Beawar, where a ‘Muslim gang’ allegedly targeted Hindu schoolgirls.

Speaking in the Assembly, Devnani cited official data revealing that 7,339 children went missing across Rajasthan in the past year, with a majority being girls. The state government confirmed that while many have been recovered, a significant number remain unaccounted for.

Ajmer, infamous for a major sex scandal in the 1990s, is once again in focus following reports of child disappearances. According to Ashok Vishnoi, in charge of Ajmer’s anti-human trafficking unit, 310 cases of missing children were reported in the past year, including 251 girls. The police have managed to trace several of them using advanced tracking methods and have made arrests in connection with child abduction cases.

Authorities continue investigations into the incidents, with efforts underway to recover missing children from different states.
