Prayagraj, 3rd Feb.
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has welcomed the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s (MoCA) intervention in reducing airfare prices for the upcoming Mahakumbh 2025. The ministry has reportedly advised airlines to slash ticket prices by 50% for flights to Prayagraj, ensuring affordable travel for millions of devotees.

In a statement on social media, VHP National Spokesperson Vinod Bansal expressed gratitude to MoCA and Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu for swiftly addressing concerns raised by the organization on January 27. Following the VHP’s appeal, the Minister, along with senior officials, held a meeting with airline representatives to assess flight connectivity and fare regulation for Mahakumbh travelers.

Bansal highlighted that under MoCA’s leadership, regular coordination meetings are being conducted to ensure seamless travel arrangements for devotees attending the world’s largest religious gathering.

The Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj is witnessing a massive influx of pilgrims from across the country and abroad.
