In a series of airstrikes across Lebanon, at least 182 people were killed and more than 700 injured on Monday, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry. Women, children, and medics were among those killed in the Israeli airstrikes.
The Israeli military confirmed the launch of a large-scale operation, striking about 300 Hezbollah sites across Lebanon. In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) indicated that the strikes aimed to neutralize Hezbollah operatives suspected of planning assaults on Israeli territory. The assault involved dozens of fighter jets, marking one of the most intense Israeli operations in recent times.

Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, during a preparedness assessment, urged the public to remain calm and disciplined in the face of escalating violence. The IDF also issued warnings to Lebanese civilians, urging them to distance themselves from Hezbollah-occupied sites, particularly those used to store weapons.
The Israeli military spokesperson R Adm Daniel Hagari in a televised statement said, “To all the residents of the villages in Lebanon, in the near future we will strike terror targets in Lebanon. We call on everyone who is near properties or inside homes where Hezbollah is hiding weapons, we call on you to distance yourselves from them immediately. This is for your safety and protection.”
