Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has strongly condemned Russia’s latest wave of airstrikes on Ukrainian cities, describing them as “another wave of terrorist crimes.” In a post on X, Zelenskyy detailed the widespread destruction and loss of life caused by the overnight assault, which involved missiles, attack drones, and aerial bombs.
Among the hardest-hit areas was Poltava, where a residential building was struck, resulting in the complete destruction of a section of the structure. The attack left ten people injured, including children, and claimed the lives of three civilians. Emergency teams rushed to the site to rescue survivors and provide assistance.
Casualties were also reported across multiple regions, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv. In Kharkiv, a strike drone attack killed one person, while in Sumy, two more civilians lost their lives. Several others sustained injuries in Zaporizhzhia and Odesa.
In response to the escalating attacks, Zelenskyy once again urged Ukraine’s international allies to bolster air defense support, emphasizing that every additional defense system and interceptor missile could prevent further civilian casualties. “Every such act of terror proves that we need greater support in defending against Russian terror. Every air defense system, every interceptor missile, means a life saved. It is crucial that our partners take action, fulfill our agreements, and increase pressure on Russia,” he stated.
Цієї ночі Росія здійснила атаку проти наших міст, застосувавши різні типи зброї: ракети, ударні дрони, авіабомби. Чергові терористичні злочини.
