PM Modi’s US Visit: PM Modi, Joe Biden Hold India-US Bilateral Talks In Delaware | Top Updates

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Philadelphia International Airport on Saturday evening (IST) on the first day of his three-day visit to the United States. PM Modi will participate in President Biden-hosted Quad Leaders’ summit and he will also address an event at the United Nations General Assembly.

This visit marks PM Modi’s first trip to US since securing his third consecutive victory in the Lok Sabha elections. During this visit, PM Modi will be participating in key diplomatic events, including the annual Quad Summit, which is being hosted by US President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware. The summit brings together the leaders of India, the US, Australia, and Japan to discuss regional peace and development in the Indo-Pacific.

US President Joe Biden hosted a bilateral meeting with PM Modi at his residence in Greenville, Delaware.

Taking to X, Biden wrote, “The United States’ partnership with India is stronger, closer, and more dynamic than any time in history. Prime Minister Modi, each time we sit down, I’m struck by our ability to find new areas of cooperation. Today was no different.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi left from US President Joe Biden’s personal residence in Greenville, Delaware after the conclusion of the bilateral meeting.

In addition to the Quad Summit, PM Modi will address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. He is also scheduled to engage in a roundtable discussion with the CEOs of leading American technology companies.

Earlier, members of the Indian diaspora extended a warm welcome to PM Modi upon his arrival Philadelphia International Airport.

PM Narendra Modi interacted with the members of the Indian diaspora outside Philadelphia airport.

After interacting with the Indian diaspora, PM Modi shared his experience on X. He wrote, “The Indian community has distinguished itself in the USA, making a positive impact across diverse sectors. It’s always a delight to interact with them. At around 9:30 PM India time on Sunday, 22nd September, I will address the Modi&US programme in New York City…”

Earlier, the Indian diaspora in Delaware were buzzing with excitement as they prepared to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chants of “Modi, Modi” filled the air as community members prepared for the PM’s arrival.

Ketaki, a member of the Indian diaspora sang while she was awaiting the arrival of PM Modi outside Hotel DuPont in Delaware.

Ahead of his departure, PM Modi had  expressed his enthusiasm about the summit, stating, “I look forward to joining President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese, and Prime Minister Kishida for discussions that will further enhance cooperation for peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.”
