26-Year-Old Government Official Shot Dead in Jharkhand’s Bokaro

Bokaro, 13th Jan. A 26-year-old state government official, Pintu Nayak, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bokaro district, Jharkhand, on Sunday night. The incident occurred at his residence in Madhukarpur village under the Kashmar police station area. Nayak, who was posted at the Hazaribag district treasury office, had returned home to visit his family.

According to his father, Sakul Nayak, Pintu went to his room to sleep after dinner. Around 11 PM, gunshots were heard, prompting his father to rush to his room. He found Pintu lying on the bed, fatally wounded.

Family members immediately rushed Pintu to the regional hospital in Jamnor, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police are currently investigating the case, with local residents being questioned and efforts underway to gather evidence from the crime scene, said Bermo SDPO BN Singh.
