Taking to X, PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, stating, “Looking forward to the proceedings at the G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Thankful to President Lula for the warm welcome.”

Before heading to the summit venue, the Prime Minister also highlighted the strong cultural ties between India and Brazil, sharing a heartwarming video of young Brazilian children performing the patriotic anthem “Vande Mataram”.

This follows PM Modi’s ‘productive’ visit in Nigeria, marking the first phase of his three-nation tour. In Rio, he was accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Brazil, Suresh Reddy, and other officials.
